Darryl Westlake Joins Mansfield On Loan

Defender Darryl Westlake has joined Sky Bet League Two side Mansfield on loan from League One Sheffield United.
The 22-year-old will stay with The Stags until January 5th and go straight into manager Paul Cox’s squad for Saturday’s home game with Morecambe.
Westlake has made 10 appearances for the Blades so far this season, but recently-appointed United boss Nigel Clough must feel Westlake will benefit from playing regular first-team football elsewhere.
Westlake who is in his second season with the Blades, began his career at Walsall and made his Football League debut as an 18-year-old in August 2009. He went on to play 76 games during his three years with the Saddlers, before signing a two-year deal at Bramall Lane in June 2012.
