Port Vale defender Joe Davis has joined Non-league side Luton Town on loan. Davis will remain with the Skril Premier promotion hopefuls until January 4, 2014 and has been allowed to join the Kenilworth Road club in order to get games under his belt.

The 20-year-old, who is the son of Crewe boss Steve Davis, made his debut for Vale when aged just 17 in the 2010/11 campaign, but he has not featured for the Vale first team this season.

Burnley-born Davis was named the Valiants’ Young Player of the Year in 2012 and has made 19 appearances in all competitions, including eight appearances last season as for Micky Adams’ side won promotion from League Two.

Meanwhile, development squad striker Dominic Dell has also been loaned out by the Valiants. He has signed with Skrill North club Worcester City on a deal until December 29.
