Calor Southern League Premier Division side Arlesey Town have today announced that Zema and Nathan Abbey have resigned from their positions as manager and assistant-manager with immediate effect.

The pair will be making the switch to league rivals St Neots Town, who are second-bottom of the division with just two wins all term and will team up with former director of football Gary King, who resigned over the summer to take a break from football.

Zema will take up the role of joint manager alongside King at Rowley Park, while Nathan has taken on the position of assistant-manager.

St Neots chairman Mike Kearns told their official website: “We needed an experienced, but proven management team that can take us to where we want to be, and in Gary, Zema and Nathan we have secured exactly what we wanted.”

Zema, is a former Norwich City player who initially joined the Blues in a player/assistant manager role at the start of the 2009/10 season. Following the club’s promotion to the Southern League Premier Division he took over as first team manager in the summer of 2011 and appointed his brother Nathan as his assistant.

The pair led Arlesey Town to 18th place in their first season in charge before enjoying a successful second campaign, which saw the club finish sixth and win the Southern League Cup.

The appointments come after head coach Iain Parr accepted a full-time position of Board Level Director at St Neots.
